1. Consultations:
Over 25 years experience in case diagnosis to determine the level of
disability and motor functionalities. We use systematic & scientific
approach to correctly diagnose the cases in our clinic. A rehabilitation
program is then constructed to every individual need based on the initial
assessment performed.
2. Physiotherapy:
Physiotherapy is one of the rehabilitation medicine branches; it aims to
restore patients to their normal daily life after an accident or an injury or
after a loss of one of their body parts. Many methods are used in that process
like Thermo Therapy (Heat/Cold Treatments), Therapeutic Exercises,
Electrotherapy, Therapeutic Massage, and Hydrotherapy. We are able to treat
many cases using these methods. Other cases are also treated like heart &
lung diseases, and many forms of Paralysis, and Urinary Incontinence and muscle
weakness. Physiotherapy is also important to patients with body parts
amputations and joint replacement. Pregnant ladies can also benefit from these
services in Pre/Post natal (Delivery) programmes.
ICPMR has the following units:
Electrotherapy Unit
Hydrotherapy & Wellness
Unit
DBC Unit
Gym Unit
3. Occupational Therapy:
Occupational Therapy is one of the rehabilitation medicine branches; it
aims to improve patient’s quality of life through life style changes &
activities. Our therapist’s main goal is to improve the capabilities of
individuals who suffer from any kind of disability, whether it’s psychological,
physical, or cognitive disability. The treatment is designed to help the
individual to participate in physical activities or simply go on their daily
routine as independent as possible. Part of achieving this is by improving
ones’ environment, or by enhancing adjustment tolerance. Our therapists make a
fully customized treatment based on patient’s abilities and the factors
mentioned earlier.
ICPMR has 2 Occupational Therapy units for both Adult and child
rehabilitation.
4. Documentation Based Care - DBC:
International medical research for chronic neck & back pain has
found that the best way to treat this case is through Occupational restoration
which is done in 2 steps:
Therapeutic exercises
which strengthen and increase muscle tolerance.
Behavioral Modification to the
medical condition: patients often suffer from anxiety, stress, and frustration
along with chronic neck & back pain, also tends to forego any activity
believing that it would make the case worse or increase pain. All of these false
beliefs will result in weak muscles that cannot support the neck & back and
consequently will increase pain.
Therefore; a new concept in treatment was developed for this case, based
on Evidenced-Based Medicine which is now known as (Documentation Based Care -
DBC): the treatment is customized to the individual’s medical, psychological,
behavioral circumstances.
Our Process:
Medical Exam: The
patient will receive a medical examination to determine the best approach for
his case whether it’s a DBC-Program, Hydrotherapy or other treatment methods.
Initial Evaluation: Should the
patient’s case is confirmed that it can be treated using DBC approach, and then
a referral will be made to ICPMR (International center for Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation). At ICPMR will take the following steps in sequence:
a. Gather information
about medical case & history
b. Gather Pain-related
information about patient’s case. Pain is measured by duration, severity, &
its location. Other information is taken about the nature of work performed
that could be generating this pain
c. Patient will go
through range of motion measurements, those will give the therapists better
understanding of how well the muscles, and joints are moving and what is the
maximum stress points it can tolerate.
d. Patient is then
given a full report about the medical case
Constructing the Individual
Therapy: Using all the information provided by patients in step 2, all data is
then entered into our assessment software to produce and calculate the number
of sessions needed, exercise level, range of motion degree to start with and
target the specific muscles and joints safely and pain-free. During those
sessions our therapists provide not only medical support but also psychological
& behavioral support for patients. They also inform the patient with their
progress and treatment status. Functional Therapeutic exercises are provided
and would make the basis for Patient Home Exercise Programme.
Final Evaluation: After
fulfilling treatment sessions, a final evaluation is made to compare it with
the initial evaluation and an improvement percentage is calculated, this will
boost patient’s enthusiasm to continue Home Exercise Programme. The patient
also receives a detailed report about his treatment course to keep or give out
to referring physician or insurance
Home Exercise Programme: A
customized Home Exercise Programme is made for every patient individually, the
exercises are chosen based on medical case, improvement shown at the ICPMR, the
exercises are fully explained with indicating pictures
Result Analysis & Quality
Assurance: All results from around the world are sent every six months to DBC
Head Quarters in Finland Anonymously where experts analyze the sent results and
draw medical conclusions
5. Mesotherapy:
Mesotherapy was invented in France in the 1950’s.It was used often
because it showed good results to treat pain, athletic injuries, and
Anti-Cellulite. Mesotherapy consists of injecting medication into the fatty
layer under the skin Meso using fine and short needles, where pain is located.
The slow absorption of these medications allows the pain relief to last longer
than normal pain killers. In our clinic, this technique is applied for acute
& chronic pain only, and not for cosmetic purposes. Treatment consists of 1
session per week for a period of 3-5 weeks*.
6. Shock-Wave-Therapy for the calcifications in muscles and ligaments:
Shock-Wave-Therapy is an advance therapeutic technique applied using
highly advanced and modern devices that uses high frequency acoustics in
different wave lengths. Those frequencies are directed toward local
calcification whether it’s in muscles, ligaments, tendons, or around the
joints. Which will fragment calcification, and increase blood supply in that
location which will absorb that calcification.
Other cases that can also be treated like Bone spurs in heals, or
chronic calcification around shoulders and elbows, normally treatment takes
from 3-6 sessions,1- 2 sessions per week*.
7. Personalized Prevention:
It is said "An Apple a Day keeps the Doctor Away", this was
said to help promote awareness and prevention techniques. It is important to
know “Prevention from what?” We can answer this question for you at the clinic
through taking a blood sample or saliva, and run Genetic tests at our certified
lab in Europe. Your will show the tendon case and relative risks as some in the
diseases. Most of these diseases can be prevented and avoided by making
lifestyle changes that will reduce the chance of getting sick.
All of these tests are done confidentially and with upmost secrecy.
8. Supporting Services:
a. Artificial Limbs and assistive Devices:
We perform a full assessment for patients with amputations, and
prescribe the proper Artificial Limb. Those Artificial Limbs (prostheses) are
then built in top certified workshops. Once we receive it, we will make sure it
matches the international standards and to the requirements set for the
individual need. Once the Artificial Limb is approved, we will then help the
patient to use it.
Patients with Assitive Devices (Orthoses) needs also receive assistance
with their equipment like: medical devices, or splints whether it’s for upper
body part support, or lower limbs to improve walking mechanism or prevent
deformities.
b. Speech Disorders Treatment:
Although we don’t provide this service, but we can refer such cases to
certified Speech pathology Centers in Jordan that provide these services. This
is done either by providing you with an official, referral or by requesting a
therapist to provide the session at our Center (ICPMR).

10. Osteoporosis Rehabilitation:
This programme aims to satisfying Osteoporosis patients needs, depending
on the degree and severity of the case. The programme’s success will depend on
the perseverance of the patient and how much support is received from the
family. The most important goal is to enhance the quality of life and to bring
the patient to be as independent as possible, and be able to carry on with
life’s daily tasks. This will affect patient’s physical, psychological, and
social aspects of his/her life. In this programme we will also focus on pain
reduction (if any). We will also introduce the patient to techniques to prevent
falling, hence avoid fractures and reduce the progress of Osteoporosis.
Programme Includes:
Treatment Exercises: these exercises will
stretch, and strengthen the muscles. These will also increase muscle
coordination which will lead to better weight bearing on bones. Our Center

Medications if needed.
11. Anti-Cellulite:
One of the most complicated problems women face nowadays is the fat
accumulation in hips, lower abdomen, and thighs areas which cannot be treated
when dieting or therapeutic exercises alone. Some ladies suffer from this even
if they were not overweight. Anti-Cellulite treatment was known to be treated
at cosmetic centers; however; it recently took another turn to reside within
medical clinics like Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation due to the process
it involves. Our patient is first examined and evaluated by a physician to
determine the degree and severity of the case. Next, the patient will have an
Anti-Cellulite Programme which includes measurements of body composition, vacuum
and compression machine (Bioderm), and ultrasound techniques (Celsonic),
Vertical Vibrations, Therapeutic Exercise, and Healthy Diet Programme.

impingement syndrome, and pre and post operative treatment, most of them are
active exercises, but passive or self passive mobilization and proprioceptive
exercises. The wheel allows monitoring range of motion recovery by providing
quick and reliable assessment, based on comparison between previous and
following measures. Being able to check the degree of joint motion reached in
each repetition, the patient will feel motivated, encouraged and engaged in
exercise.
4. Rowing
Rowing is a very effective way of exercise. In addition to strengthening
the heart and improving circulation, it develops the various groups of large
muscles: the back, the abdomen, the arms, the shoulders as well as the pelvis
and the legs. Rowing also develops muscular flexibility without exertion on
joint, and it is recommended form of exercise for those who suffer from pains
in the neck and shoulder areas.

easily measured through this equipment.
6. Balance board
These devices are special high quality products addressing the
dysfunction of motoric control, coordination, sense of balance and muscle
function.
It is particularly suitable for usage in physical and sport therapy,
orthopedics and rehabilitation.
Each provides a different yet enjoyable way of treatment as the first is
the GymTop Professional USB which provides users and patients the opportunity
not merely to react to dislocation, but to effectuate dislocations actively and
systematically thanks to the feedback of optical, acoustical and tactile
analysers, and the second which use vibration technology to increase
proprioception and gives a three level of balance training.
7. Active passive training
Universal electronically controlled trainer for active and passive
mobilization of the upper as well as the lower limbs. This revolutionary
concept makes expensive accessories superfluous. The height and the length of
the crank are easily adjusted to provide a variable range of motion.
The passive mode is a powered movement at regulated speeds, for exercise
of limbs that have limited or no muscle power. A unique auto-reverse feature
reverses the direction in case of a muscle seizure so that the affected muscles
are released.
The active mode enables a wide range of exercises, either workload
dependent, where the resistance level is constant regardless of pedal speed, or
isokinetic where resistance increases as speed increases.
8. Shockwave
The Shockwave device represents today an innovative system that can give
rise to a new and effective therapeutic approach for the treatment of various
pathologies regarding soft tissues and the skeletal system.
The thrust implemented by the end side of a suitable applicator, that
the operator has to put in contact with the suffering region, gives rise to
small impulses with high intensity that are transmitted into the tissue. This
originates a resonance phenomenon causing antalgic processes, reduction of
local phlogosis, new formation of blood vessels, and reactivation of reparative
processes.
The Shockwave device is a specific instrument for the treatment of
pathologies into the Physical Therapy and Orthopaedics field. The antalgic,
osteo-inductive and vascular effects allow the treatment of a wide range of
tendinous pathologies, but also allow the activation of processes involving the
re-absorption of calcifications, especially when they are localised in the
smallest joints, and help to increase the reparative processes (osteogenesis)
in osteo-articular pathologies and fractures.
Besides the manual setting, the Shockwave device has got a series of
pre-set therapeutic protocols (whose values can be adjusted by the operator)
and a memory for storing customized treatments.
9. StruzzoPlus
If StruzzoPlus speak by itself, it would speak of transfer,
verticalization and movement in the name of simplicity, versatility, lightness,
handiness and likableness. Perhaps it would not have the arrogance to say that
it is the first in its class for everything, but it would proudly affirm that
it knows how to do more things with respect to the others and that it is the
result of deep consideration. A standing frame with motor unit powered by
batteries and joystick control. Drive around the house or office.
10. Vibrafit
The movement of the vibration plate simulates the body's natural
'stretch reflex' (tonic vibration reflex). This is similar to the knee jerk
reaction that occurs when the knee is tapped by a reflex hammer in a doctor's
office. Without thinking of it, your body responds with a strong involuntary
muscle contraction leading to your leg 'kicking' out.
With the Vibra-Fit technology these strong muscle contractions can be
repeated at a rapid rate. Due to the involuntary effect on muscle contraction,
nearly 100% of the muscle fibers are recruited. Compare this to conventional
training where there is only an average of 40% muscle recruitment. This
benefits the rehabilitation patient looking to add stability and strength to
all muscles around their joints, to the athlete looking to maximize strength
gains.
The gentle rapid contractions allow the muscle to work as a pump in
introducing blood to even the smallest blood vessels. This leads to the ability
of the body to carry off waste products much faster, leading to increased
peripheral circulation. Positive effects:
Increase of the bone
density, treatment of osteoporosis
Better blood circulation
building up of muscular
strength and endurance
Develop the reflexes and the
proprioception
Decrease of cellulite
Better metabolism,
purification, fat burning
Tissue lifting
11. Paraffin bath
Paraffin wax has a very high "heat capacity," meaning it is
able to absorb and retain a great amount of heat. The Therabath takes advantage
of paraffin's heat-retaining capacity in a simple process called "heat
transfer." Very simply, the heat that goes into melting the paraffin is
released when it solidifies into a custom-fitted, warm "glove," thus
transferring the heat deep into the affected joint or area. Each dip in a
Therabath delivers a layer of fast-acting heat therapy.
Effective on: Arthritis, Inflammation, Joint Stiffness, Muscle Spasms,
Sports Injuries, and Dry, Cracked Skin.

3. Dry Aqua Jet Therapy
Floating - The body experiences a new lightness. Slow weightlessness
takes over. Wrapped in comfortable warmth, an initial feeling of security
relieves body and soul. Soft music can be heard with the harmonic vibrations
perceptible by all senses. Being in condition of total relaxation, you have a
new dimension of recovery. The Thermo Spa Concerto is the total well-being
solution. Its unique combination of functions makes a varied range of cosmetic
and therapeutic treatments possible. The transition from reclining to floating
is incomparably soft and pleasant. It turns the whole tub into a loudspeaker.
The sound waves are not only audible; they can also be felt through the foil.
This makes also a massage possible simply by the vibration of the sound waves:
the whole body is set vibrating by the rhythm of the music.
4. Bioderm
Vacuum therapy combines two well-proven techniques: suction effect and
mechanical palpate-roll. The combination of those two techniques, in a global
slimming concept, offers good results particularly in cases where excess weight
is hard to move.
The round heads with teflon rings slide easily over all skin surfaces,
including hairy areas, with no risk of pinching. The heads are transparent so
that the formation of the skin pleat can be checked and vascularisation can be
verified.
Thanks to the use of the proper massage head, the Bioderm technique can
be applied to the face, this is called Ridoplastie. Wrinkles are the result of
skin ageing and also fibrinolytic phenomena which attach the base of the
wrinkle to the tissues.
The face and neck are areas with lots of lymphatic and venous exchanges
and are often insufficiently stimulated. Ridoplastie face cares give noticeable
results from the first session as regards both external aspect and feeling of
well-being.
5. Effilyse
Effilyse is the ideal assistant to develop and produce personalized
diets for a wide spectrum of people (from the sedentary person to the top-level
athlete). It is an "expert system" for health, fitness or sports
professionals.
Effilyse allows the creation of files per patient: identity, impedance
and morphology measurements, physiological conditions, diet habits and the
avoidance of certain food items.
The measurements obtained with Ohmniscan can be entered in the Effilyse
software and it will then calculate the patient’s daily energy needs. As the
data on basic metabolism and energy needs are known, the software personalizes
the menus according to these data.
6. Cellsonic
Low frequency ultrasounds are a sure and painless method that when
combined with drainage enables the most rebellious fat particles to be treated.
Low frequency ultrasounds penetrate through the adipose tissue; their
vibrating action weakens the fibers that surround the adiposity cells and
favors fat acids release.
These low frequency ultrasounds, between 28 and 32 kHz, are applied
under stationary conditions through a contact gel and have 3 effects:
Mechanical effects:
"micro-massage": alternative compression and expansion of the tissues
(pressure differences), provoke cells friction and tissue weakening
Thermal effects: the energy
released by the ultra-sounds becomes heat and favours a vasodilatation
effects: they are due to both
mechanical and thermal effects: it activates the local venous and lymphatic
circulation and relaxes the muscles
7. Ohmniscan
Ohmniscan is a high-performance portable bio-impedance measuring device
that enables, the essential data i.e.: lean mass, fat mass, water balance,
basal metabolism, daily energy needs, body mass index to be calculated using a
painless micro current technique.
It is used for the initial assessment and for treatment monitoring
Regular checks allow fat loss to be monitored and the results used as a
highly motivational tool.
